"I am exp a n d i n g"
I feel myself bursting from the seams, unable to contain my expansion and my skin stretches, cracks, tears, scabs, and heals - no reprieve, no pause until I'm extended again, stuck between wanting to shrink and still grow taller. I look around my environment, feeling out of place and time, hoping to be whisked to space, getting off this mundane ride. I wasn't born with wings, but I feel them now. Calcium deposits building the structure from scratch. I am expanding. I am expanding. I am angry, impatient, yet excited! I'm uncomfortable. I can't quite fit in this doll house. I can't play make believe anymore. I'm growing to be life size and that terrifies me in this infinite world. My particles are moving faster, dispersed and interacting with everything around me; the universe responding so quickly before I have even asked my questions. I am expanding. I feel irregular, abnormal, other-worldly and a bit insane. This love, this force, the light in me cannot be contained. The moment I let it finally escape, I know things will NEVER be the same. I am expanding, and I must embrace this change.
